Regional Image Competition 2023

The Regional Image Competition will be open for entries from 9:00am, 3rd April 2023, to 11:59pm, 30th April 2023. This is a digital-only competition (no prints are required) and will be judged over two rounds – both via our online platform.

This competition is a first-past-the-post competition, meaning the highest-scoring image, over 80 for each category, will become the photographer of the year in that category.

Entering

Before entering, you must have a member profile on the competition site. (this is separate from your member’s area on the main website) Files should be submitted at least 3,000 px on the longest side (no borders, keylines, watermarks or identifying information should be included).

Images that were taken after the 1st of January 2020.

The cost is £5 per entry for BIPP members. All profits will go to the regions for a get-together to celebrate the winners.

Judging

Each region will be viewed and scored by five Fellowship judges. The Chair Of Awards And Qualifications will oversee and adjudicate the process.

Overall Regional Photographer Of The Year

Each category winner will go on to a second round of judging and be re-scored; the highest-scoring entry overall will be awarded the title of Regional Photographer Of The Year.
